The Canadian Apparel Federation and SGS North America are holding a full day workshop in Vancouver dealing with regulatory compliance and product testing for apparel and soft goods. If your staff needs to understand regulatory requirements in multiple countries and understand product test reports, this workshop is for you.
Regulations in different jurisdictions along with multiple product standards and related product testing can be hard to manage, especially for companies with multiple products. This workshop will help remove the guesswork and help improve the level of knowledge and effectiveness of your quality control staff.
The workshop will include the following topics:
Break-out session will allow attendees to review sample test reports, interpret the test results and understand how to accept, reject or re-work garments.
The workshop will have a non-technical orientation but detailed information will be presented.

About the Presenter:
Sravanth Kanukuntla, Manager Technical Projects, Softlines SGS North America Inc.
Responsible for Technical Consulting in Textile, Apparel & Accessories Segments and represents SGS in Standard Meetings such as AATCC, AAFA, SAC, IABFLO, and various Conferences. Has done extensive research for Functional and performance tests. Serves as subject matter expert for Global Testing Requirement for Textile, Footwear and Leather Industry.
Master of Science in Textile Science. Bachelor's Degree in Textile Engineering. 15+ years of experience in Textile Industry. 9+ years with SGS. Prior to that, worked as Strategic Procurement Manager at Allsteel Inc and Quality Manager at GTN textiles.
