The Canadian Apparel Federation has
received funding from International Trade Canada to support Canadian
childrenswear exporters entering the European market. The program
includes:
- Trade mission to Germany Sept. 15 – 20, 2010
- Including
visit to Kind & Jugend, the leading Children’s product trade show, meetings
and networking with industry partners
The program
will involve a complete package of services to allow firms in this growing
sector to identify markets in Europe, prepare for market entry, visit the major
show and meet contacts needed to develop business. It is tailored towards
innovative companies which possess strong potential and are pursuing expansion
into Europe.
The
program includes:
- Review
of your line and merchandising recommendations
- Analyzing
your product’s marketability and selecting strategy
- Background
on export procedures, and information resourcesInformation
sessions by professionals on the European and in particular German
children’s wear and accessories markets
- Customized
one on one match-making with local agents, distributors and sales partners
- Visit
and meetings with retailers
- Tour
of Kind & Jugend trade show
- Supply
product for shared booth space, where you will be able to showcase a

Who
should attend?
Manufacturers,
brand marketers and designers focused on children’s wear and accessories, which
have exporting experience. The mission is best suited to suppliers of
children’s wear for babies and toddlers, maternity wear and accessories such
bedding, sleep wear, diaper bags, etc. Participating firms must be
members of the Canadian Apparel Federation.
