Research and interpret fashion trends and forecasts.
Design and develop garments that align with our brand vision and values.
Participate in fit meetings to establish proper fit.
Collaborate with design team to develop line from concept through to completion.
Create and modify patterns on Gerber in the development of prototypes.
Work closely with sample sewers and patternmakers.
Troubleshoot and resolve design and construction issues.
Support design team structure and process.
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to achieve goals and targets.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design.
Minimum 3 years of fashion design experience.
Solid technical knowledge of garment construction and production processes.
Proficiency on Gerber or other CAD system.
Competency in Illustrator, Photoshop and MS Office.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
Able to handle the pressures of a fast paced deadline driven work environment.
Self-motivated, detail oriented, team player

This is a full-time 6 month (July - December 2017) position based on a 40 hour Monday - Friday work week with additional hours required during peak periods.
