Category: ProductionWhat you’ll be doing:
- Completing the projections process for MEC brand materials: review finished goods projections, determine materials required, accurately plan requirements, place projections, follow-up and resolve issues as necessary, ensuring fulfillment of materials to enable the manufacturing function
- Driving continuous improvements to the overall material suppliers’ business and MEC RM supplier’s key performance indicators, as they relate to materials planning, procurement and delivery parameters
- Evaluating the implications of MEC brand materials with orders under Minimum Order Quantity -MOQ-, make the necessary recommendations to resolve the concern and pursue a lasting course of action for future purchases
- Administrating and maintaining Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) system database and other systems where raw materials procurement data resides. Execute set-up and ongoing updates of information required for the planning, procurement, and management of MEC brand raw materials
- Analyzing and evaluating key indicators, issues, flags and trends, as they relate to the Raw Materials –RM- planning and procurement, its processes, suppliers and items. Discuss the resulting learning and propose adjustments or changes where necessary
- Preparing and maintaining files and reports associated with the RM supply chain used by the department and others concerned
- Communicating effectively with those involved in the RM supply chain, specifically, but not limited, to its requirements and to procurement related issues
- Creating and developing opportunities and relationships for re-sale or donation of obsolete MEC materials
- Understudying the role of Raw Materials Manager
What you need to do it well:
- 5 to 7 years related experience
- Experience with forecasting, buying, inventory planning and control processes
- Experience with vendor relations and negotiations
- Product development process and commercialization knowledge desirable
- Strong analytical and statistical skills
- Strong negotiation skills, ability to anticipate needs and resolve conflicts/problems
- Be detail oriented with strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, active follow-through and self-motivated
- Advance Excel and MS Office skills, be systems savvy
- Proven ability to communicate across multiple cultures and where English is a second language
- An interest in being active and getting outside
Salary: annual salary based on experience
