Job Description / Duties

Our Vancouver apparel client is looking for a Decoration Production Coordinator to join their team. This person will lead, organize, and follow-up with external decoration suppliers to ensure that key milestones in the critical path are met. As well, will ensure timely delivery of samples and bulk production. This position is the critical hub in the decoration production schedule; it must ensure that communication is addressed on a timely basis and that time and action calendars are kept updated, with any potential problems addressed with management. This role will report to the Director of Service.

This will be a key role in the Attribution Team within Customer Service to ensure that the inflow of decorated orders are processed within given time constraints while meeting quality standards. Must be a proactive, detail-oriented, and relationship-minded individual to optimize the 3rd party decoration network; and meet the Company's ambitious growth plans.

Responsibilities:
Hands on coordination of all elements of decoration business including selection and oversight of internal and external decoration facilities
Daily communication with internal CSRs and external decoration suppliers to ensure a smooth production process and “best in class” service, from receipt of order through to customer “In Hands” date
Coordinate virtual samples with Graphics Team
Follow up on sample requests (artwork, digitizing, fabric compatibility, etc…) to ensure timely receipt and response
Create and update action and production schedules and communicate timelines to internal Customers
Create and update a decoration Perfect Order metric; measuring total orders vs. orders with errors and causes
Work closely with Product Development, Sales, and Customer Service to advise on best decoration methods and production requirements to specific garments
Analysis of “as is” decoration, ordering, and production process with recommendations on future state
Provide training to all involved with decoration processes and maximizing operating efficiency

Qualifications / Required Skills

5+ years experience as a decoration specialist or coordinator in apparel industry
Sufficient knowledge on apparel decoration methods and production process
Experience working with decoration houses and suppliers
Knowledge of garment and fabric construction, terminology, production processes, production cycles, and garment construction requirements
Pro-active, detail-oriented, highly organized, hard-working and committed
Team player with ability to easily liaise with production, sales, design, and other divisions
Effective written and oral communicator – fluency in English is a must
Intermediate knowledge of computer systems such as Word, Excel, Outlook
Ability to anticipate problems and suggest solutions
