It is estimated that over 50 million people across all industries are in modern-day slavery today. The issue of forced labour is of concern to the Canadian business community as modern slavery legislation passed in May 2023 will require larger companies to report on their efforts to address forced labour and child labour in their supply chains as early as May, 2024. About the speaker: Matt Friedman is an international human trafficking expert with more than 30 years of experience.
