Building off the success of our semi-annual Trade Policy Updates, CAF will be presenting a webinar on Product & Regulatory Compliance to update members on policy developments and our advocacy efforts. The session will cover the most pressing issues affecting the apparel sector in 2019, including:
We will also discuss recent initiatives by the Canadian government to promote “responsible business conduct.” These include the recent appointment of Canada’s Ombudsperson for Responsible Enterprise (CORE) and Bill C-423, a proposal to enforce new reporting requirements re. forced labour and child labour in supply chains. Some of this was discussed in our previous webinar on trade policy.
