Using the OEKO-TEX® tool to calculate facility and supply chain environmental footprint

OEKO-TEX® proudly presents the International certification system STeP by OEKO-TEX® for sustainability in the textile chain.

The system makes it possible to comprehensively analyze a production plant's sustainability. The system optimizes a plant’s existing production conditions in term of using environmentally friendly technologies and products as well as assessing internal working conditions and the plants impact of the environment. The system provide a simple, science-based tool to help plants’ measure and qualify their carbon and water impact.

Presenter: Mr. Adrian Meili, TESTEX Group Product Manager / Group Lead Auditor

Adrian Meili is a Textile Engineer in textile finishing. After his study, he worked for 3 years as a Manager Dye-house Laboratory in Cape Town (South Africa) and 4 years as a Manager Finishing Department in Uznach (Switzerland). In 1991, he joined TESTEX AG as Manager Textile Chemistry department and became in 2000 Manager Industrial & Institute Service. With more than 20 years of experience in textile testing and auditing of textile production facilities, he became 2013 STeP Lead Auditor and is also TESTEX Group Product Manager for STeP by OEKO-TEX® and MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX®.
