Life After NAFTA for the Apparel Industry: The New USMCA

The Canadian Apparel Federation and Carson International presented on June 4, 2020 at 2 p.m. EST a webinar on key provisions of the new United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) and changing customs procedures which will come into force on July 1, 2020.

The purpose of this webinar is to explain concrete issues regarding the flow of goods across the border when the agreement enters into force. Specifically, we discuss new Origin Certification, the TPL Program, De minimis, changes to Rules of Origin (and a timeline for their implementation) and other provisions of concern to apparel firms. The webinar was presented by Bob Kirke of CAF and Dave Pentland of Carson International.
