We will also discuss recent initiatives by the Canadian government to promote “responsible business conduct.” These include the recent appointment of Canada’s Ombudsperson for Responsible Enterprise (CORE) and Bill C-423, a proposal to enforce new reporting requirements re. forced labour and child labour in supply chains. Some of this was discussed in our previous webinar on trade policy.
